WAYS TO SUPPORT PIE
a. Donate to PIE- PIE is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Your gifts are tax deductible. An appeal is mailed annually to PIE
benefactors and friends but gifts are appreciated year round.
b. Wrap up a slice of Pie -These options are a great way to remember
the special people who have shaped our lives and left a lasting impact on the
Vinalhaven Community. Include charitable
giving on your gift list this year! It’s
a perfect way to please the person on your list who has everything.
Book Plates $25
Dedicate a book for the Vinalhaven School
Library in honor of someone you respect of cherish. Their name will appear on a bookplate inside
the book purchased. Classification can
be specified from the following: Art/music, math/science, fiction, sports,
history, reference, librarian’s choice
Patio Bricks $100
Have a family name or someone important to you
permanently displayed on an inscribed granite brick for the outdoor side patio
of the Vinalhaven School.
Auditorium Chair $750*
Do you know someone who particularly loves
theater or delights in attending concerts and events at Smith Hokanson Memorial
Hall? Imagine their delight at having
their name inscribed as one of the 350 seats in the hall!
*payment can be made in 3 installments of $250
For each gift, you will receive a personalized
card with details of your gift to present to the person you have honored.

c. Give Gifts of Stock -Gifts of securities such as publicly traded
stock, mutual funds, closely held stock and S corporation stock can be given to
PIE. To obtain the greatest tax
advantage, transfer physical securities to PIE rather than the proceeds from a
sale. Contact us for more information
about how to do this.
d. Planned Giving -Consider making a larger, long-term commitment to
PIE with planned giving. We would be happy to discuss options with you in
person.
e. Other - Volunteer, underwrite the cost of a guest artist, piece
of equipment or event. There are many ways to cut it! Contact Keely Felton for specific needs of
PIE!
