PIE'S VINALHAVEN COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP FUND

In Partner’s in Island Education is pleased to oversee a new scholarship called the Vinalhaven College Fund as part of its mission to enhance educational opportunities for the students of Vinalhaven.

GOALS
The scholarship was developed with the goal of providing a substantial financial award each year to one graduating senior going on to a four-year college. The people helping to create this scholarship are members of the summer and year round community, including Vinalhaven school teachers and administrators.

SCHOLARSHIP
The scholarship is for a total of $8000 - $2000 for each year of college.

SELECTION CRITERIA
The selection criteria include academic performance and school and community involvement. A strong family and current connection to Vinalhaven and/or the applicant’s intention to benefit our community in the future and financial need are also considered. The scholarship is not primarily needs based, but financial information will be requested and reviewed.  SAT scores and class rank will not be considered.
