Partners in Island Education (PIE) is a private, non-profit corporation consisting of seasonal and  year round community members from Vinalhaven, Maine, whose mission is to provide supplemental funding to School Administrative District 8 for facilities and programs that support educational excellence in our community.

Since 1999 PIE has been providing educational opportunities to the community of Vinalhaven.  Eight years ago we began with a vision to raise private funds to construct an auditorium large enough to house our school & community events, and to add space and technology to our library.  With the capital campaign realized, PIE is focused on supporting the art, drama and library programs in our school.
