Partners in Island Education (PIE) Partners in Island Education is a non-profit organization located on the island of Vinalhaven, Maine. Our mission is to support educational excellence in the community by sponsoring art, literacy and enrichment opportunities at the Vinalhaven School, assisting the development of school facilities, and supporting future aspirations by funding a scholarship program.
Since 1999 PIE has been providing educational opportunities to the community of Vinalhaven. Eight years ago we began with a vision to raise private funds to construct an auditorium large enough to house our school & community events, and to add space and technology to our library. With the capital campaign realized, PIE is focused on supporting the art, drama and library programs in our school.
